Performance Appraisal Training 'The Appraisal Meeting'
Target Audience:
Supervisors and Managers.
Key Objective:
To
build the competence and confidence of participants to effectively
conduct a one on one performance appraisal meeting. This includes
planning process, conducting the meeting, reinforcing management
principles and promoting two-way communication.
Learning Outcomes:
At the conclusion of the program participants should be able to:
Conduct a one on one performance appraisal meeting with a staff member and plan for the following year
Understand
the importance of creating a team culture that is perceived to be fair
maintaining consistency between all elements of the performance
management process
Understand the link between on-going performance and effective regular engagement of reporting staff
Prepare Managers for the performance planning process, beginning with the Appraisal session
Observe, discuss and practise how to conduct an effective performance appraisal
Reinforce performance management principles
Promote two-way feedback between managers and employees
Resources:
Program Facilitator, Workplace Reality Theatre (Professional Actor).
Structure:
4 hrs, with a maximum of 16 participants per session.
